By just looking at a portrait, you should be able to feel the excitement in the smile, the prankish look in the eyes, or the serenity in the gaze. I, work my hardest to capture these fleeting moments, to capture the inner soul and glow of every person.

Natural light, photo journalistic photography, with in the Northern Virginia area, leaves the limitations of a studio behind, allowing each person's personality to flow, naturally. Real situations, Real Attitudes, Real Life.

With this in mind, I strive to create a relaxed environment, using nature as my backdrop, as much as possible, where children, families and individuals can feel free to be themselves. I am also, lucky enough to have a “traveling studio” which allows me to come with you, using your home, a blank wall or background, as our backdrop; No more carting the kids to a hot photography studio! Being able to do this allows me to capture, not only a moment in time, which otherwise could be forgotten, but also a small glimpse of each person's personality and "soul." When you feel at home, you tend to act much more natural, as opposed to “posed” and “unnatural.”

Every photo shoot has such a unique personality of its own, which works well with my photo journalistic nature, where nothing is overly staged. Why go to a studio who’s main goal is not YOU or your families goals?
